La Commission scolaire Eastern Shores est fort probablement la commission scolaire la plus diversifiée géographiquement de la province de Québec. S’étendant de Fermont au nord jusqu’aux Îles-de-la-Madeleine au sud-est, son territoire administratif comprend également toute la péninsule gaspésienne ainsi que les villes de Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles et Port-Cartier le long de la côte nord-est. Au 30 septembre 2022, on comptait 1078 élèves inscrits dans 16 écoles du secteur jeunes et 130 élèves inscrits dans 5 centres d’éducation des adultes et de formation professionnelle. Parmi les 16 écoles, six sont primaires, trois sont secondaires et les sept autres sont des écoles combinées primaire-secondaire. ________________ Eastern Shores School Board is quite possibly the most geographically diverse school board in the province of Quebec. Stretching from Fermont in the north to the Magdalen Islands in the Southeast, its administrative territory also includes the entire Gaspé Peninsula as well as the cities of Baie-Comeau, Sept-Iles and Port-Cartier along the eastern north shore. There were 1078 students registered in 16 youth sector schools and 130 registered in five adult/vocational education centers, as of Sept 30, 2022. Of the 16 schools, six are elementary, three are secondary, and the remaining seven are combined elementary-secondary schools.
